The goal of this project was to produce a visual story that encapsulated the experience families, couples, and adventure travelers can expect when staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui. It was important for us to establish the tropical location of Maui and then parlay that into the emotion and relaxation of a stay in one of Hawaii’s top rated resorts.

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

The goal of this project was to capture an idyllic day at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. In this production we hit on the allures of the property and Sonoma region. On site it’s the ambiance, spa, and food. Nearby trips to the wineries & golf courses complete the perfect stay.

Maui Flower Growers Association

The goal of this project was to provide the Maui Flower Growers Association with a video that delivered a sense of place to showcase during the 2012 Philadelphia Flower Show. This video was shown on a loop for the week-long event that attracted 270,000 people with a theme of “Hawaii: Islands of Aloha.” It was important to bring the story of the MFGA to an audience that may not be familiar with Maui and the MFGA in particular. Of course once the event wrapped up this video now plays on the homepage of mauiflower.com as part of their marketing materials.

Storytelling

The Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Kea Lani

Storytelling is a major component of any production. Being able to tell a coherent story, whether it’s for 30 seconds or 30 minutes, will make or break your production. In 2014 the Fairmont Kea Lani finished up a massive renovation for their incredible Willow Stream Spa. As part of the reopening this production aimed to tell the story behind the spa, the treatment, and how this spa differs from others on Maui.

The goal of this project was to provide The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua with a global marketing tool to showcase their property for a specific travel industry in Japan. Knowing your audience and taking the time to craft your message directly can give the extra edge.

Ali’i Kula Lavender

:30 commercial for statewide cable broadcast

Branding. The art of establishing your company / product through an emotion. You want your client to immediately identify with your image when they see the slightest hint of what you offer. In this :30 spot we combined footage with subtle shades of lavender and visuals that truly capture the Ali’i Kula Lavender experience.

Hawaiian Airlines In-Flight Programming

This was an opportunity to showcase Maggie Coulombe’s fashion boutique thru bright colors and attention grabbing visuals. Since a good amount of airline passengers are not always plugged into the in-flight entertainment, the challenge here was to try to grab their attention in :30 seconds or less. The result, a swift pace full of vibrance and elegance, gives the viewer a taste of what to expect at Maggie Coulombe’s store in Lahaina.

Trailer for “Beyond the Grass Skirt”

Anytime you have the chance to tell a cultural story in Hawaii it is a privilege. In 2007, this feature length independent documentary was shot, edited, and produced entirely on Maui. It tells the story of four members of the local community doing their best to help share and preserve their culture within the Luau atmosphere here on Maui.
